Applicants will implement behavior interventions, provide and monitor student behaviors, utilize non-violent crisis intervention techniques, as needed, demonstrate appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques, including knowledge of student privileges and responsibilities. They will provide input and feedback related to the effectiveness and observations of behavior protocols to building administrators, complete documentation associated with crisis situations, adhere to safety practices and standards, and maintain student confidentiality. Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
Must possess the knowledge and ability to implement de-escalation techniques, strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, and other personnel involved in child's educational/behavioral program, must have knowledge of common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents, must have strong communication skills, and must display a professional appearance and demeanor.
All mandated clearances, physical, and current TB test results are required prior to employment.
