The Transportation Supervisor shall ensure a safe and efficient student transportation program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordination of the district transportation program to meet all local, state, and federal laws and regulations and the daily instructional program and extra-curricular activities; supervision of the overall operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the district transportation fleet both on a current and long-range basis; review of transportation routes; supervision of drivers; assisting the central administration in matters dealing with school delays and closings; maintaining records necessary to prepare all state reports as required by PDE and Department of Transportation; and establishing a good rapport with students, staff, and the community. Must be willing to receive School Bus Driver Endorsement.

Knowledge of routing and scheduling of school buses, a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills needed. Bachelor’s Degree and experience with transportation preferred.

All mandated clearances, TB test results and physical are required upon employment.
