The Buildings and Grounds Supervisor shall ensure a safe and efficient learning environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervision of custodial and maintenance employees, scheduling, evaluations; establishing daily work assignments; supervision of district-wide maintenance and operations of all buildings and grounds including mechanical and electrical operating systems; conducting periodic inspection of all school facilities to ensure fire safety; supervision and inspection of work performed by outside contractors; confirming the preparation of playing fields, grounds, and other necessary facilities for athletics and other schools; ensuring that all security systems, fire alarms, clock systems, and telephone systems are properly approved and executed; preparing for facility use requests; and serving on the school safety committee.

Strong written and oral communication skills needed. Bachelor’s Degree and experience with facility maintenance preferred.

All mandated clearances, TB test results and physical are required upon employment.
